Ms Maruma is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Bank of Africa Tanzania Limited. She joined the Bank in May 2024 from Absa Bank Tanzania Limited where she served as the Director of Global Markets, VP, Country Treasurer and Head of Global Markets.
Ms Maruma has an over a decade experience in the banking sector, with a substantial experience in leadership, Treasury, Financial Markets, and Corporate and Investment banking. Her career has been defined by a commitment to excellence, strategic growth, and a deep understanding of the dynamic financial landscape.
Ms Maruma holds a Bachelor of Science: Environment Sciences and Management. She holds certifications as a Chartered Global Investment Analyst and ACI Financial Markets Dealing Certification.
